Challenging internal audit position for an enthusiastic, self-motivated professional to perform operational, financial and compliance audits. Working as part of a dynamic team, you will gain exposure to a wide range of business processes. The Internal Audit Department plays an important role in the organization’s governance structure, providing the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors and management with a mechanism to monitor adherence to policies and procedures and assess the effectiveness of systems of internal control. The Internal Audit team is organized to deliver audit services to the bank’s major businesses and also performs other audit services including controls testing to help support Sarbanes-Oxley certifications. This exposure provides valuable experience for future career growth and advancement. Responsibilities for this position include testing for compliance with laws, regulations and bank policies. This includes monitoring and/or ensuring compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations, inlcuding but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering. Specific duties include the performance of risk assessments, development of audit programs, analysis of process flows, assessment of the adequacy of the control environment, documentation of audit results, communication of audit results to management, monitoring of findings to their resolution, as well as developing effective client relationships.

- Monitor and/or ensure compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations; including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering, in addition to, Bank operation policies and procedures.
- Conduct audit and audit follow-up work.
- Able to lead small audits. Lead large, complex audits, with supervison.
- Develop audit programs, including test plans, with limited supervision.
- Perform risk assessments, analysis of controls and process flows.
- Complete audit segments.
- Report results of audit work to applicable department management.
- Performs internal controls testing to help support Sarbanes-Oxley certifications.
- Assist in the performance of special reviews.
- Perform additional duties as requested.

The qualified candidate will have at least four years of risk-based auditing experience and a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance. A solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Basic and Lotus Notes is required. Knowledge of banking regulations and Sarbanes Oxley requirements, superior analytical skills and excellent communication skills are essential. The candidate should either maintain a professional certification (i.e. CPA, CIA, CISA) or be willing to pursue professional certification. This position involves 10-15% local travel.
