Overview

Develops new small business customer deposit and loan relationships. Supports Branch Managers and Branch Associates as needed to meet their customer growth goals.

Responsibilities

  • Actively develops and maintains a portfolio of prospects, customer referrals, community organizations and Centers of Influence for business development opportunities.
  • Generates new small business loan relationships with new customers of the bank.
  • Develops new business deposit relationships with new customers of the bank.
  • Broadens existing relationships with loan and deposit customers.
  • Partners with internal bank associates to cross sell consumer loans, cash management products, investment services, and electronic banking products and other banking services as appropriate.
  • Refers middle-market and real estate loan transactions to commercial loan officers as appropriate.
  • Responds to customer and prospect requests in a timely, professional manner.
  • Promotes the bank in the business community by regularly attending meetings of local businesses, professional, and charitable organizations.
  • Participates in special assignments as necessary.
  • Monitors and tracks business development goals and progress.
  • Monitors and/or ensures compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations; including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering, in addition to, Bank operation policies and procedures.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.

Qualifications

BA/BS degree level of education or its equivalent.  At least three years of commercial banking or related business development experience.  Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and customer service skills required.
