Work Schedule
Monday - Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM. More or less hours per day depending upon the volumes received. Minimum of 1 Saturday per month at 4 hours per Saturday.


Mail Sorter will organize, sort and prepare incoming mail by P.O. Box for distribution to the mail opening operation.


  • Organize the incoming mail trays by P.O. Box. 
  • Sort and prepare the mail to be processed on the OPEX 150/IEM by removing under and oversized envelopes, envelopes with multiple transactions, and non-machineable mail by P.O. Box.
  • Sort and prepare the mail for processing by P.O. Box for distribution to the mail opening operation. 
  • Notify Coordinator of any issues encountered including late deliveries, missing P.O. Boxes, and damaged mail.
  • Prepare misdirected mail for return to USPS.
  • Track on an Operator Production Log the total of hours and mail sorted.
  • Monitor and/or ensure compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations; including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering, in addition to, Bank operation policies and procedures.
  • Other Duties as assigned.


Position requires excellent organizational and communication skills. Must be able to prioritize work and posses a logical thought process. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment. Attention to detail and good manual dexterity required.


This position requires the person be standing throughout the shift. The position also requires the moving of mail trays from the preparation area to the adjacent shelves. Ability to lift 20 to 25 lbs required.
