Century Bank is currently in search of a Human Resources Generalist to provide innovative human resources support for our organization.  Collaboration, relationship building, business and people intelligence, passion and focused execution are essential to be successful in this position.  The qualified candidate will be able to assist in all areas of Human Resources (payroll, benefits, recruitment, employee relations, etc.).


  • Provide guidance and coaching to department managers and employees on the interpretation of personnel policies, benefits, payroll and other Human Resources programs.
  • Provide individual employees and managers with counseling as required, addressing employee issues and concerns. Provide guidance and advice to managers as they address employee issues. Consult with legal support as required.
  • Contribute to the effective team management of problems, issues and opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and customers.
  • Process payroll, communicate benefits, policies, procedures etc. as necessary.
  • Conduct orientation or training as needed.  Attend job fairs.
  • In conjunction with other Human Resources team members, handle the recruitment process to include sourcing, candidate development and interviewing for both exempt and non-exempt positions, recommending candidates for hire to department heads and hiring managers.
  • Monitor and/or ensure compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations; including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering, in addition to, Bank operation policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as required.


This position requires an Associate's degree and at least three years of human resources experience.  A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or PHR certification is preferred.  The qualified candidate must possess excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, organization, math, and problem solving skills. Must be able to work independently, handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize to meet tight deadlines, and provide guidance to others.  Experience processing payroll with ADP Workforce Now is a plus.
