  • Overview

    Systems and Security Specialist is responsible for assisting the Network Manager in all day-to-day management functions of the Bank’s computer hardware/software and networks.  Additionally, this position will work to ensure bank systems meet appropriate compliance standards.

    Responsibilities

    • Work independently to troubleshoot and resolve helpdesk issues, while keeping IT management informed and escalating issues when needed.
    • Image new computer hardware in preparation for deployment to end-user, install and update computer software.
    • Assist in the maintenance, configuration, and security of servers, workstations, and other network peripherals in a Windows/VMWare environment.
    • Analyze vulnerability and compliance scan results, and work with system owners to ensure vulnerabilities are remediated and system configurations meet hardening standards.
    • Review and monitor system configurations to ensure that they are secure, role appropriate, and consistent throughout the organization.
    • Review daily security and compliance reports to identify deficiencies, anomalies, and potential security incidents.
    • Perform other duties as requested.

     

    Qualifications

    • Associate’s degree or 2+ years of relevant experience
    • Detailed oriented with sound analytical skills.  
    • Experience working with the Windows 7/10, Imaging/Deploying Software,
    • Strong knowledge of information security principles and practices.
    • Experience working with and supporting technologies such as Windows Server, Cisco, VMWare, Firewall, Vulnerability Management, Data Classification, or Threat/Anomaly Detection is a plus.
