  • Overview

    Under the general direction of the Executive Vice President, plans, organizes and directs the overall activities of the bank’s retail branch network and the Retail Operations and Support group.  Manages and sustains a sales culture and fosters the cultivation of an exceptional customer experience throughout the retail branch network.

    Responsibilities

    • Leads and drives the strategy (sales and operational) for the retail-banking network collaborating with the Executive Vice President and the Executive Management Team.
    • Establishes and monitors the annual operating budget and capital budget for all areas of responsibility.
    • Directly manages the regional branch managers with indirect oversight of all branch managers.  Establishes and implements branch goals, policies, plans, including changes to facilities, staffing levels, hours, etc. 
    • Directs sales activities for the retail branch network in conjunction with the EVP and support from the Marketing team, including but not limited to: developing, implementing and monitoring goals and objectives for branch annual sales and production plans, bank incentive programs, etc; motivating employees to sell/cross-sell/upsell bank products/services; in collaboration with marketing representatives and training; coaching management and staff, resolving sales issues and concerns and participating in cultivating a more sales oriented branch staff. 
    • Ensures that retail personnel adhere to security policies and procedures. Works closely with Security Officer to enhance security procedures, minimize losses due to robberies and ensure safety protocols.  Research and resolve complex branch situations or customer issues.
    • Serves as liaison between branches and other departments within the Bank to coordinate activities, resolve issues and develop procedures.
    • Oversees the development and completion of the department’s compliance monitoring reviews that ensure compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations; including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti Money Laundering, as well as Bank operation policies and procedures for the branch network.
    • Performs special projects and additional duties as required.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor degree in business administration or its equivalent through coursework and training. A minimum of 10 years’ experience in banking,  ten years of supervisory experience, strong sales and administrative skills, five years’ experience managing a multi branch network and experience in compliance and product development.  Position requires well-developed management, communications, analytical and organizational skills.
